My life is none of my business. When we are focused on the small details of our lives, we get nervous and eventually fall. When we are focused on Christ, life flows along and we do not notice the rough parts because God is holding us. Here are some scriptures that help me to remember that I need to always adjust my focus: James 1:22-25 , Romans 12:2 , Romans 8:18 , Mark 9:50 , Colossians 3:1-2. There are many more but these are the few that I have been reading right now. It is not for MY glory, but for GOD's glory that I should do things. With that mind set, I will stay humble and not proud. I will not desire for attention or praise. My desire is for God to praise me and for His attention. To seek Him out and to proclaim His majesty to everyone.

I can't tell you how much this has helped me in the last week. I had gotten so overwhelmed that I could no longer see the Truth. It took someone reminding me of things that I had said in the past to snap me out of it. Then I just dove into the word and God pulled me out of the dark and this week I have fresh eyes and a willing spirit. My life is none of my business.

Angela,

This entry has really really really helped me to see some things. Here lately I have not been doing well Spiritually and it is because of exactly what this entry is talking about. I have realized tho that because of looking at my circumstances and what I want them to be and gotten my focus off of God then it has caused me MUCH more stress, worry, and discontentment that is not necessary. And I have realized that I would rather just give it all to God for God to deal with and save myself all that stress. Thank You for being used of God.

I have actually wrote the phrase " My life is none of my business" on little cards and posted them places. One is on my computer, because unfortunately I am on it all the time for school. Another one is on the visor in my car. Just little reminders for when I let myself get overloaded with the world.

Angela,
"My life is none of my business."--this ia a wonderful reminder! I have one of those "everything has to be in order" personalities. But I realize that my identity in Christ does not allow for that. This is not to say that we can't have an organized way of doing things, but if my focus becomes how well things turn out according to the agenda that I have for myself, then I have really gotten off track. My time is really His time. My life is really His life.

I also think of Matthew 6:33 as Beth mentioned. Seek Him first and life will flow out. A peaceful and contented spirit is what we find only in Him.

Thank you for sharing this. It is amazing how several of us seem to be dealing with this at the same time. God has used you to remind us of His glory and His glory alone!

Love in Christ,
Heather
